Gomez definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Zero does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy.

Zero attempts a leg kick but it's missed by a good margin.

Max Zero seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Zero fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Horrible takedown by Zero or perhaps it was just good defense by Gomez which made him look bad.

and Gomez counters with a crisp one two that drops Zero! Gomez thinks about following him to the mat for a moment but instead steps back and waves Zero to his feet! Zero is in big trouble!

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Zero throws a leg kick that misses.
Gomez jabs Zero to the body, keeping him at a distance.
Zero misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Hector Gomez has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Max Zero.

Gomez drops Zero with a beautiful combination! Zero stares up at his opponent, who ushers him back to his feet - Gomez is looking for the KO!
Zero is still on wobbly legs! Can Gomez finish him?
Zero switches off momentarily and Gomez cracks him with a monster right hand! Zero topples backwards and makes a semi conscious attempt to cover up, as Gomez dives in to land one more shot, before the referee has time to call the fight. What a finish by Gomez!

It looks like Thompson might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it.
