Pontes tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Mcgee wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.

Mcgee decides to stand up, so the ref orders Pontes to his feet.
Pontes seems to have recovered his senses.

Mcgee throws a quick inside leg kick.
Mcgee scores with a hook to the body. Pontes takes a step back and tries to catch his breath.
Mcgee throws a head kick that connects with a bit of head and a bit of hand.
Pontes takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.
Pontes is trying desperately to land a takedown but Mcgee is having absolutely none of it. This is turning into a bit of a nightmare for Pontes.

Mcgee drops Pontes with a right and a left! Mcgee comes rushing in but Pontes regains his composure and manages to keep Mcgee in guard.

Pontes has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Mcgee can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Mcgee gets to his feet - Pontes follows without any prompting.
Mcgee closes the distance and lands a crisp combination that knocks Pontes out cold! Pontes corner are devastated, head in hands behind our commentary position. Poor guys.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:24 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punches). Pound Mcgee!
A very excited looking Pound Mcgee rambled incoherently for about 5 minutes post fight about how awesome he is. It was kinda funny for a while but then everyone got annoyed.

Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Tiger Khaybulaev (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Elias Fuentes (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Fuentes has chosen Bust My Guns- Absolute Kingz as his entrance music. Tiger Khaybulaev looks tired to me. Hopefully he has got enough gas left in the tank to put in a good performance.

Helm throws a big shot that misses.
Brown steps to his left, right into the path of a big body kick from Helm. That one must have hurt.
James Helm seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Brown shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Helm but Helm pushes him off and we're back to square one.

This has been an exciting period of action!

Brown feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Brown has moved round to his opponent's back and is looking for a suplex! Oh snap! He's tossed Helm clear over his head and slammed him to the mat!

I think Tipps might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to MC Hammer - U Can't Touch This. Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Balboa lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Tipps has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Tipps and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Paraiba shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Lister sprawls well. Lister wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Paraiba gets slowly back to his feet.
Paraiba uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Lister.

Paraiba has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Lister is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Paraiba.

Lime Lister is the new heavyweight champion!
Lime Lister decided to call for a title shot in his post fight interview, which was very strange given the fact this fight was for a title and he's already the champion. I guess that's what getting punched in the head does for you.
Dudu Paraiba was interviewed post fight and said 'Meh... What can ya do right? Did everything i could. Ill be back'.
