Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Vlad Vladimirovich (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Martin Foster (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Vladimirovich comes into the arena with Kalinka blaring out of the sound system. Foster has chosen If you want blood - AC/DC as his entrance music. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

We've been hearing reports that Vladimirovich has been drilling takedowns in recent sessions so let's see if that has an impact on the result of this fight.

Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Rudolf Varga (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and SJ Mitchell (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Rudolf Varga had real problems making weight for this fight. After initially coming in at 206.1lbs, he had two hours to make the official fight weight. He made it but it will have taken a lot out of him to cut those extra few pounds. SJ Mitchell told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

Smuda is just content to waste time from the top position. Hartley takes advantage of the situation and regains full guard.

Smuda gets to his feet and stands over Hartley, holding his ankles. He dives in with a big left hand that connects! Hartley felt that one! Smuda unloads more punches and elbows and this one is over! The ref has dived in to save Hartley from any more punishment!

Pierce dips to his left and cracks Newbold with an uppercut!

Pierce feints and then winds up with a huge right hand that connects perfectly and sends Newbold sprawling to the canvas! Newbold rolls over backwards and springs off the cage and manages to regain his footing - how acrobatic! Oh, he's still wobbly - can Pierce finish him?!

Newbold is aggressively charging in as Pierce backs up avoiding any damage. Pierce tosses out a jab and Newbold runs right into it face first! Newbold is out cold! Pierce dropped down on all fours and is barking in Newbold's face like a pit bull in celebration until the ref was finally able to pull him away!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:43 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Lucas Pierce!
A relieved looking Lucas Pierce thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
