The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hawk throws a right hand that Black ducks under and follows up with a left that Black also avoids with ease.
No joy there for Hawk, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

Black drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.

Hawk wants to control but Black postures up.
Black trying to control the position but Hawk is working away.
Hawk manages to get one leg in to regain half guard.
Hawk is controlling Black's trapped leg to prevent Black from advancing to side control.
Black really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Hawk. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Azevado is on the wrong end of a nice combination from Tanaka.

It looks like Ademir Azevado has been cut.

Azevado gets caught flat footed, as Tanaka shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
