Gaffney anticipates the leg and manages to get behind Axe and secures both hooks! This could be bad! Gaffney slips an arm under Axe chin and tries to position for a rear naked choke. Gaffney has worked the choke in now and it looks tight. Gaffney is squeezing on Axe like an anaconda would it's prey. Axe fails to tap and has fallen unconscious! We've got ourselves a winner by way of a rear naked choke!

Lesnar with a poor takedown
and Lesnar takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Pete Tippin seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Tippin shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Lesnar sprawls well. Lesnar wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Tippin gets slowly back to his feet.
Tippin throws a nice inside leg kick.

Lesnar tries for a takedown but Tippin sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Lesnar has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance.
Lesnar shoots in for a takedown but Tippin shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.

Tippin closes the distance and clinches.

Tippin escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

Tippin looking to score a takedown here. Lesnar is defending well but Tippin drives through and ends up in Lesnar's guard.

Lesnar looks to be working for a triangle here. Oh, it looks like he might have it! Tippin has picked Lesnar up and slammed him! Lesnar can't keep hold of the triangle and Tippin manages to pass to side control!

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Lesnar regains half guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Tippin is keen to just control but Lesnar is a slippery customer.

Tippin slips a nice elbow through Lesnar's hands, connecting with Lesnar's forehead.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Lesnar misses with some strikes from the bottom.

Tippin is pressing down on Lesnar's thigh, looking to free his foot. Lesnar is holding on for now.
Tippin prevents Lesnar from improving his position.
Lesnar is trying to control but can't.
Lesnar is staying active underneath Tippin, who seems content to just control the action from this position.

Lesnar actively working from the bottom here.
Lesnar tries to kick Tippin off in order to stand up. Tippin Avoids the leg push though and dives into side control.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Tippin lands a few punches from side control.
Lesnar takes an elbow right on the bridge of the nose and winces in pain.
Lesnar tries to control the position but he's not in luck - Tippin easily slips into full mount!
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The cut man is working on Brock Lesnar's cut.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.


Tippin misses with a series of wild punches.
Lesnar looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Lesnar tries to clinch but Tippin moves out of range.
Tippin throws an overhand right that lands on Lesnar's shoulder, as Lesnar tries to avoid the shot.
Tippin fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
This is turning into a torrid day at the office for Lesnar. He's trying desperately to land a takedown but he's failing miserably and getting slapped silly on the feet to compound his misery.
Lesnar takes a body punch but keeps moving.
Pete Tippin seems to be getting the better of the standup.

letting Tippin counter with a right hand.
No luck for Tippin with that takedown attempt.
Tippin slaps away a takedown attempt from Lesnar, before circling back to the center of the mat.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Brock Lesnar. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Lesnar is sent reeling backwards by a solid uppercut. He barely regains his balance and Tippin moves in for the kill throwing a continuous barrage of punches that force the ref to step in.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:58 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Pete Tippin!
Pete Tippin decided to thank the fans in attendance for making a great atmosphere. It seemed to go down pretty well.
