Undercard bout

Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jacob Moonra (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Katsumi Nasu (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Nasu has chosen Shura no Hana as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Katsumi Nasu was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Moonra takes a shot to the body in his stride.
Nasu tests Moonra's chin there with a solid looking shot.
We've been told by Moonra's head coaches at Synergy Fight Team that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight.
Jacob Moonra seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

The ref calls for a clean break and stands the fighters back up. Katsumi Nasu wasn't active enough on the ground.

Nasu stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Nasu wants it to stay on the feet.

Moonra drops his hands momentarily and Nasu takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head.

Moonra tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Nasu swivels and escapes.

This is turning into a torrid day at the office for Moonra. He's trying desperately to land a takedown but he's failing miserably and getting slapped silly on the feet to compound his misery.

Moonra throws out a loose jab but Nasu uses good head movement to avoid it.
Moonra misses with an uppercut. Nasu saw that one coming.

A jab-cross combination lands for Moonra and sends Nasu crashing to the mat! Moonra follows him down to the mat - Nasu regains half guard but he's not out of trouble yet!

Nasu is rocked!

It looks like Katsumi Nasu has been cut.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Moonra throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage.
Nasu is still in real trouble! Can Moonra finish him?
Moonra lands a massive shot from half guard that has rocked Nasu! More strikes land and this one is all over! Moonra jumps to his feet and is applauded loudly by the crowd!

I think Kid might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Bob Dylan - Hurricane. Davis has chosen Monkey Junction as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. There are an array of beautiful celebrities at ringside tonight! I wonder if any of them paid for their tickets.

Kid jabs Davis to the body, keeping him at a distance.
Davis paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button.

It looks like Billy Kid has been cut.
Davis shoots in for a double leg but Kid sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Kid throws a jab but it's blocked by Davis.
Kid on the wrong end of a nice hook.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Kid blocks a leg kick.
Kid misses with a straight right.
We've been informed that Davis has been sparring a lot of Muay Thai in the buildup to this fight so let's see if that has an impact on the result.
Kid swats away the attempt to clinch by Davis.
Davis scores to the head and body with a nice combination!
Davis is looking to clinch.
Davis throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Kid on the side of the head.
Davis lands with a thumping leg kick.
A nice inside leg kick there by Davis. That's going to slow Kid down.
Kid takes a swing at Davis's ribcage but misses.
Davis connects with a slap. Keep your fist closed son.

Billy Kid's cut is bleeding quite badly. He's got to try and protect it.
Davis gets in close and tags Kid with a short punch that almost sends Kid to the mat! Oh Kid is in big trouble! He turns his back on Davis, trying to create some distance but Davis rushes him, striking wildly and Kid goes down! The referee tackles Davis into the cage to end the fight! Davis is one violent man!

Ottway shoots in and drives through. Tate sprawls well.

Tate changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Ottway looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.

Tate is trying to get an arm triangle but Ottway is defending well.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Tate lands a nice forearm strike.
Ottway tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Tate wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.

Tate is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Ottway knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.
Tate works to advance to full mount. Ottway defends for a few seconds but eventually he succumbs.

Tate lands with some vicious ground and pound - can Ottway hang on?

Tate throws some shoulder strikes here and then postures up. Oh, he's gone for an armbar! Ottway has his hands clasped together but Tate breaks the hold and Ottway is forced to tap! This one is aaaaaaaaaaall over! That was lightning fast by Tate!

Zhu told us pre-fight that he has been working on his escapes in training. Let's see if he can call on some of his new skills to get back to his feet.
Sved tries to stand but can't do so whilst Zhu controls his leg.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Zhu makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Zhu.
Sved distracts Zhu with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm.
Sved wants to stand but Zhu is controlling his posture from full guard.

Zhu has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Sved can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Zhu has his foot on Sved's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Sved works his way back into a safe position though.
Sved has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Zhu is proving hard to escape from.
