The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ax needs to keep his hands up - Light had a free shot at his head there.
Ax shoots for a takedown but Light saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Light smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button.
Ax misses with a takedown attempt - Light sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Light misses with a wild combination.
Ax throws a shot to the body.
Light looks to land a combination. Ax sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots.

Ax is rocked!

Ax darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.

Ax takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.

and Ax counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.

Light throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd.

Light lands with an overhand left.

Light feints and then winds up with a huge right hand that connects perfectly and sends Ax sprawling to the canvas! Ax rolls over backwards and springs off the cage and manages to regain his footing - how acrobatic! Oh, he's still wobbly - can Light finish him?!
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Ax looks up at the clock. Bad move! Light lands a right hand from hell, dropping Ax. Light pounces and finishes the fight with a flurry of punches and elbows.

Nix throws a chopping leg kick but Ardonia manages to avoid taking any serious damage.

Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Nix.
Nix misses with an uppercut. Ardonia saw that one coming.
Ardonia avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Nix dodges the punch combination from Ardonia.
Ardonia bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Nix's head.

Roper is bucking up trying to escape but Gracie cracks him with another couple of good strikes.

Gracie lands a heavy shot. That's hurt Roper! Gracie sees the opportunity and turns up the heat - strike after strike land to the defenseless Roper and the ref dives in to save him! This one is all over!

Morozov is looking to cinch up a triangle. Jotko throws the leg off to one side though and gets in tight to Morozov's body to avoid the submission. Morozov has instead reached around Jotko's neck and now has a guillotine! Oh, this is biiiig trouble! Morozov arches his back and squeezes and forces the tap from his hapless opponent.

Hughes tries to keep at a distance but Healing has taken the fight into the clinch.
Hughes wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Healing has him pressed against the cage.
Hughes stops a takedown attempt from Healing.

Hughes's coach down at Finch Farm was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Hughes's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight.

Healing had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Hughes defends it easily.
Hughes wants to get up but he can't break Healing's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.

This is turning into a torrid day at the office for Faber. He's trying desperately to land a takedown but he's failing miserably and getting slapped silly on the feet to compound his misery.
With the fighters clinched against the cage, Dong Hyuk creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut.
Faber stalling in the clinch but Dong Hyuk improves position.
Dong Hyuk pushes Faber back against the cage and lands a hook to the side of the head.

That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Faber crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Dong Hyuk - the referee stops the clock and Faber gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Dong Hyuk. Faber manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Ohhhhh! A huge head kick from Dong Hyuk! Faber is out on his feet! Dong Hyuk rushes in and throws more strikes. The ref is looking closely - Faber is covering up but the punishment is just too much and the ref steps in to stop the fight! Faber is staring into space, just thankful that the beatdown has ended. Brutal finish.
