The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Some wild striking there from mipantz.
Constance uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook.
Nice sprawl there from Constance as mipantz shoots in.
mipantz throws a series of punches but Constance avoids them all with ease.
Constance goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo.
mipantz pivots, looking for a leg kick but Constance is out of range and mipantz settles back down.

Constance throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. mipantz was covering up waiting for the punch and Constance finishes the takedown easily into guard.

Constance drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but mipantz manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Constance has mipantz in his guard.
Constance is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

Constance looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks mipantz with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.

Abaza shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.
Work For is trying to stand back up but Abaza is controlling him
Work For trying desperately to get back to his feet here but he's not having any joy at all. He's going to tire himself out if he's not careful.

Cody tries to land a knee to the head but Naz blocks with his arms.

Naz has hold of one of Cody's legs. Cody is fighting the takedown attempt but Naz gets the trip and lands the takedown into guard.

Naz drops back, looking for a kneebar! Cody looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Cody looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Cody!
Naz tries to bench press Cody off him but Cody keeps the position.
Both fighters take a look at the clock.
Naz is trying to get back to half guard.
Naz wings away with a couple of strikes but they don't land.

Cody moves into side control, avoiding a weak kimura attempt from Naz.

Naz is trying to stick to Cody's back but Cody is turning into Naz. He's managed to reverse the position - now he's in Naz's guard. Polite applause from the crowd in appreciation of some nice Jiu Jitsu by Cody.
