The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mendez tries to clinch but Jenkins is having none of it.
Horrible takedown by Mendez or perhaps it was just good defense by Jenkins which made him look bad.

Mendez fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Jenkins, pushing him back against the cage.
