The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Pen clobbers Kersikov with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.
Kersikov lands a glancing blow to the side of Pen's head.
Kersikov swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Pen takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming.
Kersikov looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
Pen lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Kersikov circles away quickly and effectively.

Pen closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Kersikov's guard.
If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Pen has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.

Kersikov lands a monster head kick that reverborates around the arena! The crowd goes wild as Pen crumples to the floor! Kersikov milks the crowd's applause and if that isn't knockout of the night, I will be very surprised!

Ellhnas has recognised the danger and is trying to turn with the submission but Lowe is really squeezing tight and eventually Ellhnas passes out! Lowe breaks the hold and jumps onto the cage to celebrate! Submission of the night, I'd say!
