Mattews looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.

Kovacks is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Mattews pulls his head out easily.

Mattews seems like he's working for an arm triangle here. He's freed his trapped foot and he's rotating nicely. Kovacks is in big trouble! He's tapping out! This one is aaaaaaaaaaaall over!

We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Al Zahran has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.

Al Zahran tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Norris misses with a wild body shot.
Sacana tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Norris swivels and escapes.
Sacana changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Norris tries to avoid it but Sacana manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Norris to the ground. Norris escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
