The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Duran shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Touite but Touite pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Touite fails in his attempt to clinch.

Duran tries to break free but Touite pushes him back against the cage.
Duran tries to land a knee to the head but misses.
Touite has Duran pressed against the cage, preventing Duran from circling away and getting back to striking at range.

Touite pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Touite tries to clinch but Duran is having none of it.
Touite connects with a leg kick. Duran looked like he was expecting something else and didn't defend it.

Duran jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Touite walks away with a smile on his face. Duran gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.

Touite jumps guard but Duran stands there with Touite around his waist. Touite gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
Touite is pressed up against the cage. Duran has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Touite down to the mat. Touite avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.

Duran gets tackled into the cage by Touite. Touite maintains the clinch.

Touite stalks Duran and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Duran's face. Duran staggers backwards, shaken.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Touite tries to close the distance and clinch but Duran swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

That was a close round but I would say that Rocky Nergal will probably get the nod.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 14 - 10 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Lucas Roy!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 12 - 9 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Sith One!
The judges for this bout are Robert Twigg, Frank Dennis and Cecil Peabody.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Roy closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. One quickly recovers to half guard.
We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.
Roy thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed One's head.
Roy will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

One is working really hard to secure the rear naked choke. Roy defends successfully for a significant amount of time. Both fighters are looking very determined.

Roy has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but One can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Roy has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
One trying to control the position from guard on top but Roy is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

One is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Roy can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.

One has control of Roy's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Roy regains control of the situation pretty easily.

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!



One feints and as Roy raises his hands in defense, One changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
One won't allow Roy to sweep him here.
One advances position into side control!
One wants to lay and pray for a moment but Roy keeps working.

One tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no One has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

One is looking to take a break and control but Roy is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Sith One has got the better of the ground game so far.
One is in a good position here but he's just trying to control... And he's not even managing to do that successfully.

A telegraphed takedown attempt from Roy is defended easily by One.
Roy jabs One right on the nose. One blinks but takes it well.

A left and a right from Roy both land. Nice combination.
Roy shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts One as he jumps to the side.
We've been told by Roy's head coaches at Elite Dojo [21 Coaches / 58 cap] that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight.
Roy dives in for a single leg takedown but One sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.

That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. This is the final round!


No joy there for Roy, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Roy missing with a left hand there. One was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.
One changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Roy tries to avoid it but One manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Roy to the ground. Roy escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
One shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it.
