We've been told by Crash's head coaches at Hey Steve's Fight Shack that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight.
Crash tries to close the distance and clinch up but Stryker swats him away and circles back towards the center.

Lockyer fires a straight punch through the middle that cracks Yikes square on the jaw! Damn, Yikes is out cold on his feet and topples face first to the canvas! Wow, I haven't seen a knockout that brutal in a long time!

With a record of 15 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Jimmy James!
The judges for this bout are Yves DeLean, Trevor Gratis and Ian Loll.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Micropop blocks the body kick.
James moves out of range of the strikes.
Micropop throws a nice looking combination but James bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.

and James counters with a nice double leg into side control. Micropop won't be happy with that.

In the pre-fight buildup videos we saw James working his ground and pound in the gym. He isn't landing a great percentage of his ground strikes so far though.
Micropop is working hard here to advance position.
Micropop can't do much from the bottom here.
Micropop might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

James is looking to stall here but Micropop recovers full guard.
James sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Micropop's guard.

James looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
Micropop wants to improve his position but James is controlling well.
James throwing shots but Micropop is blocking nicely.

James throws a strike but Micropop avoids it easily and moves to full guard.

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Micropop takes a big shot right to the temple there but he's taken it well.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

James is trying to push Micropop away but Micropop has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere.
Micropop lands a shot to the body.
James is trying to slow down the pace of the fight but Micropop is keeping busy.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
James tries to circle away but Micropop has him pinned against the cage.

Micropop lands punches inside but they're not really causing much damage.
Micropop misses the knee to the body. Nice hip positioning from James.

Micropop swings away with an uppercut that misses.
James blocks a couple of punches on the inside.
Micropop goes for a body shot but it's blocked.

James wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee.
James throws a vicious knee straight up the middle but Micropop blocks it with crossed arms.

Micropop lands with a quick shot inside that doesn't really do much damage.
Micropop unloads a knee to the mid-section. James lets out a prehistoric sounding urrrrgh.
James is breathing heavily.

Micropop scores with an uppercut up the middle.

Micropop drops James onto one knee with a big uppercut from the clinch! James is propped up by the cage and works his way back to his feet!

James is rocked!
An uppercut on the inside fails to land for Micropop.
James is still on wobbly legs! Can Micropop finish him?
Micropop lands with a light punch inside.
James throws an elbow that misses.

Micropop lands with a right to the head.
Micropop throws a head punch that misses.

James pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
James seems to have recovered his senses.
James throws a head kick but Micropop moves out of range.
Micropop looks to throw the jab but James is out of range.
Micropop lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh.

Klas Micropop is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Micropop swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
Micropop uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook.
Micropop connects nicely with a jab. Noted by the judges no doubt.

Micropop lands a left and a right that send James crashing to the mat, dazed. Micropop thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!
and Micropop counters with a massive uppercut that badly hurts James! He's just covering up as Micropop starts to tee off till the referee steps in and stops the fight!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:50 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Klas Micropop!
Klas Micropop retains his super heavyweight title!
Klas Micropop was full of energy after the big win and talked about how he thinks he can do big things in this sport. The crowd were appreciative of his determination to succeed.
