Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Jacques Rougeau!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hurt wants to clinch up but Rougeau keeps it at a distance.
Hurt shoots in but no luck this time.
Rougeau wants to clinch but Hurt slips to the side

and Hurt counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Hurt.

Rougeau escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Hurt gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Hurt gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent.
Hurt pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Hurt dives in and grabs Rougeau's left leg, looking for a takedown. Rougeau pushes down on Hurt's head and hops out.
Hurt throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Hurt has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him.

and Hurt counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Hurt.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Hurt is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.
Rougeau is looking to stand back up... there's a bit of a scramble and Hurt dives into side control.

That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Jaa crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from E - the referee stops the clock and Jaa gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says E. Jaa manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes.
E cracks Jaa with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage.
Jaa looks to score with a jab to the body but E is just out of range.
