The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Wong misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Wong throws a sloppy head kick and Okafor moves out of range easily.
Okafor looks to land a body kick but Wong moved away.
Okafor lands a nice shot to the body.
Okafor punishes Wong's body with a nice straight punch.
Okafor tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Wong tries to close the distance and clinch up but Okafor swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Okafor scores with a hook.
Okafor pulls out of a head kick attempt.

and Okafor makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.

Wong misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Okafor is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Wong fails in his attempt to clinch.
Wong tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Okafor manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.

The fight stays on the outside here - Wong looks like he's thinking about clinching though.

Okafor looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now.
Okafor throws a knee to the head but misses.

Wong throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Okafor throws a body kick that digs right into the meat.
Wong on the wrong end of a nice jab.
Okafor with a nice looking leg kick. You could hear that one land in a back row.
Wong has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Okafor finds it's way round the side to connect with Wong's head.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

Okafor wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.

and Wong takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Wong moves to clinch but Okafor breaks away
and Okafor counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt.
Okafor feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Wongs jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist!
Wong misses with a head kick.
Okafor listening to his corner there, landing a nice uppercut.
Okafor connects with a leg kick. Wong looked like he was expecting something else and didn't defend it.
Okafor ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent.
Okafor plants his feet and lands a nice head kick!

Wong is rocked!
Okafor lands with a right hand.
Oh Wong is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Okafor fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Wong has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.
Okafor drops Wong with a big left hand! Wong is injured, injured bad! Okafor jumps in and finished him with strikes! The fight is over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:49 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Apio Okafor!
A relieved looking Apio Okafor thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.

and Gomes counters with a single leg into guard. Erickson didn't expect that.

Daris will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

Crasher shoots in for a takedown and gets it.
Crasher is trying to control the action in half guard but Daris is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.
Crasher is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Daris is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.
Daris wants to improve his position but Crasher is controlling well.

Crasher is breathing heavily.
Daris lands an uppercut out of nowhere! Crasher falls backwards - clearly groggy! Daris dives in and finishes the fight with more strikes for a TKO finish!
