McQuade throws a wild combination but nothing lands.

Gerrard's coach down at Synergy Fight Team was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Gerrard's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight.

Gerrard lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
McQuade looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Gerrard lands a left and a right that send McQuade crashing to the mat, dazed. Gerrard thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!

McQuade is rocked!
Gerrard misses with a double jab.
Oh McQuade is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!

and McQuade connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.

Gerrard shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts McQuade as he jumps to the side.
Booker McQuade has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Mick Gerrard.
Gerrard lands a big right hand and follows it up with an uppercut. Oh and another big punch and a knee - McQuade can't take much more of this! Another big shot to the jaw from Gerrard and McQuade drops to the floor. Beaten and bloodied - he had enough there. A vicious beatdown by Gerrard.
