Kang gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.

Kang is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Dean is controlling him.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Kang throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Dean throws a low kick but his opponent is out of range.

It looks like Herb Dean has been cut.

Kang darts in and out, connecting with a jab.

Dean turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and Dean manages to end up in side control.

Dean shoots in and bounces Kang off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.

Dean is taking a breather. Kang says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.

Dean looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Kang with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.

We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.

Mori lands with a couple of good shots - one to the side of the head and one questionable shot that could be viewed as to the back of the head but the referee lets it go.
Mori has improved his flexibility recently so we will have to see if he can use that to his advantage.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Taishi Mori.
