Freeman keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.

Taylor shoots in for a takedown and gets it.

Taylor is looking for a kimura but Freeman is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Taylor to get the leverage.

Taylor maintaining the dominant position here and is working for a kimura. He's locked it up! Freeman could be in real trouble here! He's trying to wriggle out but Taylor has cracked it and Freeman is screaming in pain - he's tapped out! Great finish by Taylor!

We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
Ilic loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.

Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Bushido Brown (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Cedric Mabuva (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Brown kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Lights Please - J Cole. Cedric Mabuva will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 21 - 10 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Cedric Mabuva!
The judges for this bout are Alan Glass, Daniel Franklin and Stewart Dunkirk.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mabuva bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut.
Cedric Mabuva seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Brown tries a head kick but it misses.
Mabuva checks a leg kick.
Brown is looking to clinch but Mabuva is avoiding it.
Mabuva uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Brown.
Brown fakes a jab and throws a low kick but Mabuva checks it well.
Brown slips a jab and a cross from Mabuva.
Mabuva cracks Brown with a right hand to the side of the head.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Brown tries to clinch up but Mabuva circles away and keeps his distance.

Brown fails with an attempt to clinch.
Brown misses with a low kick.
Brown tries to score with an inside leg kick but telegraphs it and Mabuva is able to avoid easily.

It looks like Bushido Brown has been cut.
Mabuva's coach down at VENDETTA Elite Gym was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Mabuva's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight.
Mabuva takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.
Brown throws a low kick but it's checked well by Mabuva.

Mabuva sends Brown crashing to the mat with a devastating uppercut! Mabuva is motioning to the referee to let Brown up. He wants to try and finish this one on the feet!

Mabuva steps into range and unloads a brutal right left combo! Brown is out on his feet! Mabuva sets himself and nearly takes Brown's head off with a straight right, sending him crashing to the mat! Wow, that was nasty... but awesome! Wooo!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:58 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Strikes). Cedric Mabuva!
A relieved looking Cedric Mabuva thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
The defeated Bushido Brown had this to say: 'Man you come straight out of a comic strip.'.
