The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A cross from Deems lands.
Deems lands with a nice combination. Untaka backs away looking to recover.

It looks like Thomas Untaka has been cut.
Untaka defending well as Deems loads up on a big left hand.
Untaka goes for a double leg but Deems avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Deems continues to drive forward.
Untaka can't get the takedown.
Untaka is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Deems pulls him back up using the underhooks.
Mingo Deems has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Thomas Untaka.

I was talking to Deems's coach per-fight and he was telling me that they'd been working on the clinch in the runup to this fight.

Mingo Deems seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Deems fails to land with a series of punches.
Deems lands with a hook. Untaka tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head.

Untaka get stunned by a cross and takes another one on the button. Untaka stumbles backwards and tries to bounce back off the cage but Deems runs in and jumps on him with a leaping lead hook that puts him out! Wow, that was highlight reel stuff! Awesome finish!

Hinch rushes Halder and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
Halder comes over the top with an elbow. That landed flush.

It looks like Stevie Hinch has been cut.
Halder has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance.
Halder lands an elbow inside.
Nice elbow from Halder.
Hinch goes for a takedown in the clinch but Halder prevents it.
Hinch jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Halder walks away with a smile on his face. Hinch gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
Hinch has been working on his striking defense in training and it's paying off as Halder is landing a low percentage of strikes.
Halder throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Hinch takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch.

and Hinch counters with a body kick that stops Halder in his tracks momentarily.
Hinch displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Halder throws out the jab.
Halder goes for a spinning back kick but it misses.
Hinch shoots in for a takedown but Halder shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Blake Halder has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Stevie Hinch.
Halder throws a left jab followed by a right to the body, Oh Hinch colapses and takes a barrage of punches from Halder as he moves to mount! the ref stops the fight and Hinch is left battered and dazed whilst Halder and his camp cheer!

Antero Rokka spent the whole post fight interview bigging himself up. It didn't go down that well with the fans after a while as they thought it was a bit arrogant.
