The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
The dragon throws a hook but Knob blocks it.

The dragon shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Knob napping and manages to drive through into side control!
Knob tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but The dragon wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.

The dragon working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it.

The dragon thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.
You can see the frustration on Knob's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.

The dragon swings around for an armbar but Knob sees it coming a mile off and turns beautifully into The dragon's guard.
Knob sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed The dragon's guard.
Knob has freed up his trapped foot and advances to mount.

Knob stands up from mount. Strange move.

The dragon fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Knob manages to avoid it.
Knob scores with the left hand. The dragon knows he should have avoided that one.
Knob lands a jab-cross combination.
Wow, both these guys are really going for it!
Knob comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.
The dragon looks gassed!
The dragon closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Knob drops The dragon with a hook right on the temple. He thinks about going to the ground but The dragon looks back up at him and smiles so Knob waves him back to his feet - he obviously thinks he can knock him out after that shot landed.

The dragon is rocked!
The dragon shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it.
The dragon is still on wobbly legs! Can Knob finish him?
The dragon on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot.
The dragon is wiping some vaseline out of his eye. Knob doesn't give a rats ass about fair play and cracks him with a massive hook to the side of the head! The dragon crumples to the floor out cold! The cornerman is going to be in The dragon's bad books for that mishap!

Roundius is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Thing can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.

Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Ahmad Abdallah (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Matt Clooten (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Abdallah kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is California Love. Clooten is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Hot Ride by The Prodigy. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.
