Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Tataki Mizuto (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Shrab Kabovik (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Mizuto comes into the arena with The Beginning- One Ok Rock blaring out of the sound system. I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Shrab Kabovik was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 8 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Tataki Mizuto!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Shrab Kabovik!
The judges for this bout are Yukihiro Yamamoto, Yuuki Gou and Shigeki Fujiwara.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kabovik tries to clinch there but Mizuto circles away.

Kabovik closes the distance and pushes Mizuto back into the ropes.
Kabovik creates a bit of distance and throws an elbow that only just misses.
Mizuto tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.
We've been hearing reports that Mizuto has been drilling takedowns in recent sessions so let's see if that has an impact on the result of this fight.
Kabovik digs a right hand into Mizuto's ribs. Those have got to be taking their toll on Mizuto's gas tank.

Kabovik works for the underhooks and manages to get a trip takedown into guard.
The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.
The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.
Kabovik trying to move into half guard but instead Mizuto has managed to sweep!

Kabovik is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Mizuto is aware though and is defending well.
Mizuto stands and throws Kabovik's legs to the side, diving into side control.
Mizuto advances nicely into full mount.
Kabovik is bucking up trying to escape but Mizuto cracks him with another couple of good strikes.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Mizuto scores with a couple of good head shots there.
Mizuto with shots to the head and body - Kabovik looks very uncomfortable down there.
Mizuto really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

That's one minute gone in the round.

Mizuto has control of Kabovik's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Kabovik regains control of the situation pretty easily.
Mizuto lands a couple of good shots and Kabovik has given up his back, trying to escape the position!
Mizuto is working the ground and pound. Can Kabovik escape?
Mizuto lands a shot to the head.
Kabovik grimaces as he takes a shot to the body.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Shinoki kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is wadiako. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Shinoki manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Garvonin on his heels. He'll look to pass Garvonin's guard now, I'm sure.
The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.
Shinoki wants to control from the top but Garvonin keeps moving.
Shinoki passes easily into side control. Nice work.
Garvonin tries to bench press Shinoki off him but Shinoki keeps the position.
Shinoki wants to control but Garvonin is keeping him busy.
Garvonin prevents Shinoki from improving position.

Shinoki is looking to take a break and control but Garvonin is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Shinoki gets to mount! Garvonin was on the offensive and wasn't defending properly.
Shinoki looking to control but Garvonin is working nicely, looking to advance position himself.
Garvonin is desperately trying to get back to half guard.
Shinoki lands a couple of good shots and Garvonin has given up his back, trying to escape the position!

Shinoki has one arm under Garvonin 's neck. Garvonin is controlling the other arm well. He's just looking to survive right now. Shinoki manages to get his arm free though and Garvonin is in a world of trouble! Shinoki sinks in the hooks and squeezes! Garvonin turns purple and then goes limp. The referee steps in to end the bout!
