The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
McDonald throws a body kick but he was well out of range there.

McDonald fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. DePloi sprawls well initially but McDonald persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.

McDonald stands up from half guard... He's had enough of that ground malarky for the time being.

McDonald gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows DePloi to score an easy takedown into full guard.
DePloi wants to control from the top but McDonald keeps moving.
McDonald wants to sweep but no luck.

DePloi drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but McDonald manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now DePloi has McDonald in his guard.
McDonald controls from within his opponent's guard.
This has been an exciting period of action!

McDonald drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and McDonald jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

McDonald is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.

DePloi is working actively from the bottom, looking for submissions. He's escaped his hips to the side and he's going for an armbar! McDonald has his hands clasped together but DePloi extends and breaks McDonald's desperate grasp, forcing a tap out due to armbar! Nice BJJ displayed there by DePloi.

McKilly tries to get to his feet but Blazer is just battering him from every conceivable angle. The ref decides that McKilly is in need of a savior and steps in!

It looks like it might have been the just bleed guy! Luckily Park Young-Gwon seems to be OK! I thought that lunatic was in prison!?
