The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jab, jab by Gogol - just one landing.
Zapata dives in for a single leg takedown but Gogol sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.
Gogol is pressed up against the cage. Zapata has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Gogol down to the mat. Gogol avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.
Gogol connects with a body shot that sends Zapata's belly button to the back.
Gogol feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Zapatas jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist!
Zapata walks into a stiff left hand from Gogol.
Gogol fails to land with a series of punches.
Zapata takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.

Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Lapu Lapu (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Matthias Staam (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Staam pulls out of a head kick attempt.

Lapu shoots for a double leg takedown but Staam sprawls well. He's pushed Lapu's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
