The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

and Lindi counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Lindi.
Lindi wants a takedown but no success here.

Lindi jumps guard and drags Jackson to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back.
We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.

In the pre-fight buildup videos we saw Lindi working his ground and pound in the gym. So far it seems to be working well.
Lindi can't control as he wanted to and Jackson manages to get the fight back to his half guard.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

That was a close second round but I would say that Steven Jackson will probably get the nod.

Lindi feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Lindi throws an elbow that misses. Jackson uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Lindi's guard. Nice move by Jackson!

Karbal Lindi comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Lindi has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

Lemana slips an arm under Van De Velde chin and tries to position for a rear naked choke. Lemana has worked the choke in now and it looks tight. Lemana is squeezing on Van De Velde like an anaconda would it's prey. Van De Velde fails to tap and has fallen unconscious! We've got ourselves a winner by way of a rear naked choke!

Tutuola shoots in and drives through. Bulldog sprawls well.

Burbank Bulldog seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Tutuola moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Task throws a combination. Mcgee tries to block but a couple of punches get through.

This has been an exciting period of action!
Mcgee tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Task swivels and escapes.
Task throws out a leg kick but Mcgee moves out of range and Task only half commits.
Task showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Mcgee.

Task throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd.
Task has been working on his striking defense in training and it's paying off as Mcgee is landing a low percentage of strikes.
Mcgee needs to keep his hands up - Task had a free shot at his head there.
Task uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Mcgee.
Mcgee uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Task.
We've been hearing reports that Mcgee has been drilling takedowns in recent sessions so let's see if that has an impact on the result of this fight.
Mcgee comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.
Mcgee tries to bum rush Task with a series of wild strikes but Task uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Task looks to land a combination but Mcgee avoids it well.
Task connects with a crisp jab.
Task swats away the attempt to clinch by Mcgee.

Task circles and sees the opportunity to plant his feet and throw a really nice straight left hand that drops Mcgee to the canvas! Mcgee doesn't know where he is but he's trying to survive - Task keeps piling on the pressure and forces the referee to step in! This one is aaaaaall over!
