Cecere throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Rousey sees it coming and avoids it easily.

Cecere throws a leg kick but Rousey sees it coming and moves out of range.
Cecere throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Julian Cecere seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Cecere uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Rousey.
Cecere jabs Rousey right on the nose. Rousey blinks but takes it well.

Forclit is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Trouble. Happy Forclit told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

My spies in Irish Collar-and-Elbow Academy inform me that Cartwright has been getting involved in the gym's BJJ sparring sessions. Let's see whether that pays dividends!

I was talking to Smith's coach per-fight and he was telling me that they'd been working on the clinch in the runup to this fight.

Smith breaks the clinch.
Smith tries to clinch there but Timma circles away.
The fighters circle momentarily. Smith darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.

It looks like Kaspars Timma has been cut.
Timma swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Smith throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Timma stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.

Smith rushes Timma and presses him up against the cage.

Smith unloads with a big right hand that wobbles Timma! He's leaning against the cage trying to keep his feet but Smith is unloading with more strikes now! Timma drops to his knees and the referee stops the fight for a TKO!
