The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Tikkanen scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.
Moraes has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.
Tikkanen cracks Moraes with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.
Moraes takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.
Tikkanen lands a jab to Moraes's midsection.
No joy there for Moraes, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 7 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Sveddi Tonn!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Schmidt fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Tonn manages to avoid it.
Schmidt takes a body kick right on the floating rib. Ouchie.
Tonn uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Schmidt.
Schmidt rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Tonn moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Schmidt takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away.
Schmidt lunges at Tonn with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Tonn's hand.
Schmidt throws an ugly left hook that misses
and Tonn counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Schmidt misses with a two punch combination.
Schmidt takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.
Schmidt swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
Schmidt throws out a loose jab but Tonn uses good head movement to avoid it.
Schmidt misses with an uppercut. Tonn saw that one coming.
Tonn scores with a straight right hand, right through his opponent's guard.

and Tonn counters with a shoot takedown into half guard.
Tonn looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.
If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.

Tonn is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Schmidt defends it well.
Schmidt wants to improve his position but Tonn is controlling well.
The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Tonn connects with a nice short shot to Schmidt's temple.
Schmidt has improved his flexibility recently so we will have to see if he can use that to his advantage.

Tonn is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Schmidt sees it coming and defends easily.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Tonn postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Schmidt looks a forlorn figure.

Tonn softens up his opponent with a couple of shots there and then CRACK! One massive shot lands there and Schmidt is out cold! Tonn jumps to his feet and celebrates on the cage with the fans, who are, quite frankly, going absolutely mental!
