The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Subject leaves Ward with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Subject thumps Ward with a low kick.

and Ward counters with a shoot takedown. Subject fights it but they end up in guard.
The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.
