The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Planck takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.
Damian Gonzalez seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Gonzalez tries to bum rush Planck with a series of wild strikes but Planck uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Planck moves away from the strike by Gonzalez.
Planck misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Gonzalez feints a jab promting Planck to slip. Gonzalez then demonstrates his capabilities by jabbing again. Planck slips again and ducks right into an uppercut.
Gonzalez connects with a body shot that sends Planck's belly button to the back.
No joy there for Gonzalez, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Gonzalez throws a series of punches but Planck avoids them all with ease.

Damian Gonzalez is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Planck throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Gonzalez sees it coming and avoids it easily.

Planck takes the fight into the clinch.

Planck manages to get underhooks and slows down the pace for a moment.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Gonzalez can do anything to dispel that myth.
A bit of a lull in the action. I'm sure it will pick up again soon... even if the ref has to physically pick them up and put them back on their feet.

Gonzalez really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Planck. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Planck's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.

Planck is delighted and gyrates in front of the ring girls. They seem to like the attention - it'll be interesting to see if Planck hooks up with any of them at the after show party.

Siren misses with a double jab.
Rose looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Siren fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Rose manages to avoid it.

Rose closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.

Siren has left one of his arms exposed and Rose doesn't need a second invitation. He's isolated it and locked on a tight armbar. Siren screams and taps out, obviously in a lot of pain. Hopefully there isn't permanent damage to that arm.

Bergogolio's coaches at Steel Penn/Heavy Hands Gym have been working on his defensive grappling in preparation for this fight so let's see if he can get out of this tricky position.
Bergogolio takes a big shot right to the temple there but he's taken it well.

Zerkle has hold of Bergogolio's arm. He's looking for a kimura. Bergogolio seems comfortable defending it but Zerkle has shifted his position slighty and is cranking on the arm! Bergogolio is real pain and he's forced to tap out! Bergogolio is disgusted with himself for not defending it better but Zerkle couldn't care less - he's delighted!
