Kermit tries a low kick but Sangare avoids it.

Sangare throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Kermit cracks Sangare with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.

It looks like Mamadou Sangare has been cut.
Kermit lands a leg kick and bounces back out of range.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Both fighters are only really looking to counter, so after a good 30 seconds of circling eachother endlessly, the referee has stepped in and told them both to be more aggressive.

Kid throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Rush was covering up waiting for the punch and Kid finishes the takedown easily into guard.

Kid drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Kid jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

Kid thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Kid is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.

Rush working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Kid doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Kid manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
Kid will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

Kid has improved his flexibility recently so we will have to see if he can use that to his advantage.

McFly's coach down at Extreme MMA (7 Elites $250/week) was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on McFly's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight.

McFly rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Tripp moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Tripp changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. McFly tries to avoid it but Tripp manages to keep hold of a leg and drag McFly to the ground. McFly escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Tripp shoots in looking for a takedown but McFly manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Tripp's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.

Tripp goes for a small jab and connects. Now Tripp goes in closer pressing the issue. Left hook, right straight! McFly stumbles back but Tripp runs in with a huge uppercut knocking McFly to the ground! What a finish! You have to wonder if McFly will ever be the same after a knockout like that.

Murtinho has his feet on Douglas's thighs here. He's pushed Douglas off and worked for a very quick armbar from the bottom! He's flipped onto his stomach and he's cranking hard on the arm! Douglas screams in pain and taps out! This one is all over!
