Undercard bout

Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Katsu Masa (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Keenan Hudson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Masa's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, Samurai Battle March. Keenan Hudson is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 2 - 1, fighting out of Sydney, Katsu Masa!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Keenan Hudson!
The judges for this bout are Darius Henderson, Topper Green and Chris Dean.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Masa lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin.
Masa fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Hudson keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Masa tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Hudson swivels and escapes.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Katsu Masa. That's going to take a lot out of him.

and Hudson counters by clinching up.

Hudson manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Masa on his heels. He'll look to pass Masa's guard now, I'm sure.

Masa lands a short shot on the inside that snaps the head of Hudson backwards.

Masa escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Masa fails with a takedown attempt.

Masa goes for a double leg but Hudson avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Hudson continues to drive forward.

Masa pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Horrible takedown attempt by Masa or perhaps it was just good defense by Hudson, which made it look bad.
Hudson throws a nice looking combination but Masa bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.

That was a close second round but I would say that King Hippo will probably get the nod.
