The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Pigano pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way.
Penn tries to score a power double leg takedown but Pigano sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Penn somewhat.
That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Penn crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Pigano - the referee stops the clock and Penn gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Pigano. Penn manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes.
Pigano fakes a jab and then connects with a hook.

It looks like JayDee Penn has been cut.

A slapping body kick lands there for Pigano.
Penn dives in and grabs Pigano's left leg, looking for a takedown. Pigano pushes down on Penn's head and hops out.

We've been hearing good reports from Blow's training camp. Apparently he has been rolling around with some good quality BJJ practitioners and has been sharpening his skills. Let's see if that has an impact on the fight today.
