We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.

Rush really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Skantze Jr. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

The judges for this bout are Ian Loll, Elvis Blanc and Robert Douchet.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A combination from Sunshine does no damage.
Jensen scores with a spinning back kick!
Sunshine misses with an uppercut. Jensen saw that one coming.
Sunshine throws a shot to the body.
Sunshine takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.
Jensen connects with a right hand. Sunshine shakes it off.
A looping hook to the body misses from Jensen. Sunshine does a little dance to reset his feet.
Sunshine moves out of range of the leg kick from Jensen.
Sunshine throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Sunshine throws a hook to the side of Jensen's head but Jensen sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Jensen moves forwards but Sunshine connects with a nice, crisp jab.
Jensen thows a left - swing and a miss!
Sunshine throws the left hand but Jensen avoids the punch easily.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Sunshine misses with a body shot.
Jensen misses with an uppercut.
Sloppy strikes from Sunshine. Those never looked like landing.
Sunshine swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Jensen sizes up Sunshine with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle.
Jensen avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
Jensen takes one on the chin but seems OK.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Jensen cracks Sunshine with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd.
Jensen looking to take his opponent's legs away with the low kicks.
Jensen fakes a jab and scores with a low kick.
Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Jensen, as that shot connected.
Jensen changes levels and scores with a jab to the body.
Wow, both these guys are really going for it!
Sunshine throws a lazy right hand but Jensen sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Sunshine has been working on his boxing with his coaches at SAVATE DE RUE du Quebec in the buildup to the fight.

Jensen lands a left and a right that send Sunshine crashing to the mat, dazed. Jensen thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!

Sunshine is rocked!
This has been an exciting period of action!
Jensen ducks down into range and throws a picture perfect right hook that connects with Sunshine's jaw. Sunshine's eyes stare off into space as he falls to the mat, out cold! Jensen does the decent thing and steps back, rather than landing any shots to his unconscious opponent.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:32 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Gunnar Jensen!
