The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bel tries to bum rush Shields with a series of wild strikes but Shields uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Shields has a takedown stuffed.
Bel throws the kick towards the body but Shields avoids it.
Bel finds nothing but air with that leg kick attempt.
Bel walks into a straight right hand from Shields.

Bel gets caught napping as Shields dives in and scores a takedown. Bel manages to retain guard.
Shields tries to free his leg and advance position but Bel is retaining full guard.
Shields working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.

Bel knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Shields on the ground.

Dark darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.
Smith looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight!

Dark seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Smith for as long as he can get away with.

That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Bullettooth crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Langer - the referee stops the clock and Bullettooth gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Langer. Bullettooth manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes.

A brutal end to the fight and credit to Langer for not following up with any more shots. He recognised that Bullettooth was out. Good sportsmanship.

Bernhard Langer decided to hype himself up post fight. It was going well but he went on about it a bit too long and the crowd turned on him a little.
