Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Barry Allen!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Franklin, Bart Greer and Dirk Anderson.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Hurmaaja drives through with a takedown into guard.
Hurmaaja distracts Allen with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm.

Allen had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Hurmaaja defends it easily.
Hurmaaja with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal.
Allen looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.

Hurmaaja cracks Allen with a solid left hand.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Hurmaaja is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Allen escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Hurmaaja gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Hurmaaja is pushing down on Allen's leg trying to pass to half guard. Allen is fighting to maintain full guard but Hurmaaja has managed to sneak the leg through.
Hurmaaja looks to be in better condition than last time we saw him fight. Obviously he's been working hard on his cardio.
Allen wants to improve his position but Hurmaaja is controlling well.
Hurmaaja winds up and cracks Allen with a swinging punch to the side of the head.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Hurmaaja seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime.

Allen is rocked!
Hurmaaja scores with a big shot! Allen's head bounced off the canvas with a huge thud! More strikes land and the referee has jumped in to save Allen! He was hurt real bad - good stoppage!
