Bangs fakes a jab and scores with a low kick.

Moon bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
Bangs sneaks back into half guard.
Moon trying to control the action but Bangs is working from the bottom.

Monsun Moon has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Lester Bangs.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Bangs enables Moon to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Bangs manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.

Moon is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Bangs is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Bangs has escaped and now he's on top!

Alves kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Rob Zombie - Scum of the earth . I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Oliver Schwalle was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
