The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Anthony throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd.

Frederiksen shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Anthony napping and manages to drive through into side control!
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
Anthony is trying to stand back up. He's worked his way up against the cage but Frederiksen has just dragged him back down to the mat.
Frederiksen works a knee to the body and follows up with a nice elbow to the head.
Frederiksen is pausing for a moment. What's he doing? It looks like he's clearing his nose. Oh dude! He's shot a load of snot all down Anthony's shoulder. That is not cool.
Frederiksen grinds an elbow into Anthony's temple.

Anthony is rocked!
Frederiksen lands a big left to the face of Anthony, bouncing his head like a basketball. Another shot from Frederiksen and another - Anthony is out! Frederiksen stands up and salutes his fans, who are going crazy in the stands.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
No luck for Briggs with that takedown attempt.
We've been hearing reports that Briggs has been drilling takedowns in recent sessions so let's see if that has an impact on the result of this fight.
Abbott lands with a good body shot.

Briggs tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Abbott swivels and escapes.
Abbott is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Briggs.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Briggs shoots in for a double leg but Abbott sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.

Briggs shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Abbott sprawls well. Abbott wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Briggs gets slowly back to his feet.

Abbott throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Briggs.

Abbott lands a big uppercut and Briggs crumbles to the floor! The ref thinks about stopping the fight but Briggs looks OK. Abbott waves Briggs back to his feet!

It looks like James Briggs has been cut.
Briggs shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and Abbott counters with a massive hook, right on the button! He's out cold! Damn, that was naaaaaasty! Hopefully he'll be OK.
