And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 9 - 6 - 0, fighting out of New York, Evan Horizon!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Horizon keeps the fight on the outside.
We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Horizon has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.
Horizon swats away the attempt to clinch by Hinch.
Evan Horizon seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Hinch takes a kick to the body and keeps moving.
Horizon lands with a straight right. Hinch didn't see that one coming.

It looks like Stevie Hinch has been cut.
Decent striking displayed by Horizon there.
Horizon scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction.
Horizon throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
Hinch blocks a low kick nicely.
Hinch tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Horizon defends well and Hinch ends up having to push Horizon into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Thomas moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body.

It looks like Staph Aureus has been cut.
Aureus avoids the head kick by Thomas.
Thomas throws a good cross that connects.
Thomas throws a body punch but Aureus moves out of range.
Thomas throws a right hand that Aureus ducks under and follows up with a left that Aureus also avoids with ease.
Thomas will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Aureus shoots in but Thomas avoids the takedown attempt easily.

Aureus shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Aureus showed some decent athleticism there.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Aureus shoots in looking for a takedown. Thomas tries to sprawl out of it but Aureus keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Thomas manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

Staph Aureus's cut is bleeding quite badly. He's got to try and protect it.

Thomas wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.

Thomas throws a nasty head kick that just misses. He throws another kick to the head of his opponent and almost takes it off! Aureus crumples to the floor and the fight is over!

A relieved looking Clay Thomas thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
