Shephard throws a big shot that misses.
Shephard tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Sonni defends well and Shephard ends up having to push Sonni into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.

Shephard has been working on his boxing with his coaches at Pain in the buildup to the fight.

Shephard throws a chopping leg kick but Sonni manages to avoid taking any serious damage.

German Shephard seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
