The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Hate gets caught flat footed, as Bradbury shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.
Bradbury's corner is telling him to maintain position.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Bradbury content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots.
Hate on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Hate tries to get out of the position.
Bradbury stays in close to Hate's body and controls the position.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.
Hate throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Hate tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Hate lands with a two punch combination before moving back out of range.
Bradbury wants to clinch up but Hate keeps it at a distance.

Hate is pressed up against the cage. Bradbury has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Hate down to the mat. Hate avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.
Bradbury throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Hate's waist but Hate gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Bradbury off to one side.

Smith drops back, looking for a kneebar! Shango looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Shango looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Shango!

Smith is positioning himself to get back to half guard.
I've been told that Shango has been drilling his wrestling of late, which has already helped him take this fight to the mat. Let's see how much of an impact it has on the outcome of the ground game.

Smith has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance.

This one could be over very soon! Shango goes limp - he's gone! Smith jumps up and celebrates with the crowd - fantastic submission finish!
