The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Fish looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
A decent looking cross lands there for Shumate.
Fish connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Shumate momentarily.
Shumate ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
Shumate looks like he wants to counter punch here.

Shumate uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Fish.

Fish looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Shumate throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Fish on the side of the head.
Fish is rocked!
Fish takes a body punch but keeps moving.
Oh Fish is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Shumate lunges in with a left hook that violently twists Fish head around and knocks him out cold! Shumate hops onto the ropes and yells out at the top of his lungs - Yeeeeeeeeaaaaaaaaah! They're showing the replay on the big screens now; that was nasty! I hope one of the photographers got a good shot of it.

Horrible takedown attempt by Snorr or perhaps it was just good defense by Myler, which made it look bad.
Myler takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away.
Myler scores with a shot to the body.
Myler feints and then cracks Snorr's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Snorr down.
Snorr throws a combination that misses
and Myler counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Snorr thinking.
Snorr takes a nasty kick to the mid section... That should keep him thinking. Does he try and block and risk a head kick landing?
Myler throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Snorr on the side of the head.

A slapping body kick lands there for Myler.
Myler throws a leg kick which misses Snorr's front leg but catches the back leg as Snorr tries to avoid it.
Myler uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Snorr has time to react.
Myler fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Snorr looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.

We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Snorr has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.
Ooooh, nice body kick lands from Myler. Snorr shrugs it off though.
Myler cracks Snorr with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the ropes.

Snorr takes one on the chin but seems OK.
It looks like Myler has been trying to sharpen up his punching technique, as it looks crisper than last time we saw him.

Both fighters circle each other, looking for something big. Myler moves in and throws an overhand right. That hurt Snorr! Myler continues to tee off on Snorr, landing with a left and a right! Myler connects with a right hand that leaves Snorr sleeping against the ropes! What a finish by Myler!
