Mackenzie bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.

Mackenzie is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Dos Santos can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.

Klemen lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.

Geoffrey feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Jones lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Jackson uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Jones.
Jones throws a looping overhand right but Jackson ducks down to avoid it.
Jackson lands a nice leg kick that just misses Jones's sensitive parts.
We've been hearing reports that Jones has been drilling takedowns in recent sessions so let's see if that has an impact on the result of this fight.
