Undercard bout

Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Olof Bonde (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Yuri Boyka (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). On his way into the cage it seems that Olof Bonde has been attacked by a crazed fan! It looks like it might have been the just bleed guy! Luckily Olof Bonde seems to be OK! I thought that lunatic was in prison!?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bonde shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Boyka as he jumps to the side.
Boyka tries to close the distance and clinch up but Bonde swats him away and circles back towards the center.

Boyka fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Bonde, pushing him back against the cage.
Bonde has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Boyka avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.
Boyka misses with an elbow over the top.

Bonde gets double underhooks and manages to take the fight to the ground.
Bonde cracks Boyka with a solid left hand.
Bonde passes into half guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Bonde wants to pass to mount but Boyka is defending the position.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Bonde thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.

Bonde decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.

Boyka parries the strikes from Bonde easily there. Bonde is wary of posturing up too much because it might enable Boyka to escape.

Olof Bonde is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.

Spanky Spangler has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Sam Smith.
