The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Da Silva has his takedown stuffed
and Slice cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Slice throws a head kick that looked like it stung.
Da Silva looks to land a body kick but Slice moved away.
Slice lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as Da Silva backs up against the cage.
A solid leg kick lands there for Slice.
Kimbo Slice seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Slice rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Da Silva moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Da Silva takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.
Slice lands with an overhand left.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Slice's coach down at HARD WORK!! was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Slice's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight.

Ulrich throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Crap's waist but Crap gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Ulrich off to one side.

We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
