The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ventura is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Turpin.
Ventura tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Turpin was well out of range. Poor timing from Ventura.
Ventura blocks a head kick by Turpin.
Ventura ducks under a wild hook from Turpin.
Ventura scores with a takedown into Turpin's guard.

Ventura postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.

Turpin misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Turpin's corner calls for a 1-2. Turpin obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range.
Turpin takes a body punch but keeps moving.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Turpin throws a looping overhand right but Ventura ducks down to avoid it.
Ventura throws a head kick that connects with a bit of head and a bit of hand.
Turpin misses with an uppercut.
Ventura appeared to be looking to counter that last move with a leg kick.
Turpin bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut.
Turpin sends Ventura crashing to the mat with a devastating uppercut! Turpin is motioning to the referee to let Ventura up. He wants to try and finish this one on the feet!
Ventura is rocked!
Ventura circles to his right, straight into a beautiful hook by Turpin. Ventura falls face first into the canvas - great knockout victory for Turpin!
