The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Horrible takedown attempt by Loshkarev or perhaps it was just good defense by Better, which made it look bad.
Alexandr Loshkarev seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Better fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Loshkarev has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.
Loshkarev shoots for a double leg takedown but Better sprawls well. He's pushed Loshkarev's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Loshkarev fails with an attempt to clinch.
Better tries a counter takedown but it's more of a dummy move, and he uses it to push himself away.
Better wants to slow Loshkarev down by chopping away at his legs.

Coath uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Rutten has time to react.
Chris Coath seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Kelly lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Masotti has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Masotti and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.
