The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Brooks slips a jab from Schneeger.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

Schneeger is trying to stand back up. He's worked his way up against the cage but Brooks has just dragged him back down to the mat.

Brooks throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Schneeger's waist but Schneeger gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Brooks off to one side.

Brooks seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.

Schneeger lands a monster head kick that reverborates around the arena! The crowd goes wild as Brooks crumples to the floor! Schneeger milks the crowd's applause and if that isn't knockout of the night, I will be very surprised!
