Mathews thows a left - swing and a miss!
Mathews swings widly with a right hand

and Harris counters with a shoot takedown into half guard.
Harris wants to pass to mount but Mathews is defending the position.
Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Harris in particular looking to stall.

Harris is working for a kimura but Mathews is defending it quite comfortably.
Harris is looking to take a break and control but Mathews is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Harris content to control rather than advance.

Mathews really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Harris. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Harris is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Mathews is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.
Mathews is trying to get back to his feet but Harris has full control of the position and if anything, Mathews has just worked his way into a worse spot.

Harris is working for the choke. I would put my money on him to finish from this position. He's rolled onto his back and has dragged Mathews with him. Mathews is trying to defend but Harris has an arm under the chin now! Mathews grimaces and is forced to tap out!

Jel shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Perry pinned against the cage. Perry gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.

After the fight, Wojtek Jel was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.

Diddler is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

Emelianenko throws a nice looking combination but Diddler bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.

Emelianenko seems to be moving with more speed, compared to his last bout. He must have been working on that in the gym.
Diddler uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Emelianenko.
Emelianenko fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Diddler manages to avoid it.
Emelianenko cracks Diddler with an open hand slap.
Diddler gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
and Emelianenko counters with a straight right hand.

Emelianenko feints and then winds up with a huge right hand that connects perfectly and sends Diddler sprawling to the canvas! Diddler rolls over backwards and springs off the cage and manages to regain his footing - how acrobatic! Oh, he's still wobbly - can Emelianenko finish him?!
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
