I think Drogo might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Tribes song. Hardwood has chosen Diamond Eyes by Deftones as his entrance music. Diamond Hardwood is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Drogo throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
Jab, jab by Drogo - just one landing.
Drogo misses with a looping left.
Drogo uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Hardwood.
Hardwood pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Drogo throws a shot from downtown. Hardwood moves away and avoids it.
A little jabbing left from Hardwood on the counter but it doesn't find it's target.
Hardwood tests Drogo's chin there with a solid looking shot.
Drogo closes the distance and clinches up with Hardwood, looking for a takedown. Drogo pushes Hardwood against the cage but Hardwood circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

and Hardwood counters with a right hand to the body.
Hardwood tries to work over Drogo's front leg with a kick but Drogo checks it.

Drogo closes the distance and clinches.
Drogo has Hardwood pushed against the cage.
Drogo wants to take the fight to the mat but Hardwood manages to get underhooks and keep the fight in the clinch.

Hardwood is fighting off a takedown attempt but Drogo is just too persistent for him and manages to trip Hardwood to the mat. Hardwood regains guard as soon as the fighters hit the mat.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Hardwood trying to keep a closed guard but Drogo is proving a slippery customer.
Drogo stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Hardwood swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Drogo is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.
Drogo sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Hardwood's guard.

Drogo is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.
Drogo works his way into side control.
Hardwood is letting Drogo control him for a moment.

Drogo is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Hardwood is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Hardwood can do anything to dispel that myth.

That was a close round but I would say that Khal Drogo will probably get the nod.

Hardwood really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Drogo. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Hardwood is trying to get back to half guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Drogo has hold of Hardwood's arm here. He's working for an Americana. It looks like he might have it! Hardwood tries to escape but he's just digging himself in deeper - Drogo cranks the arm and Hardwood screams in pain! The ref makes a decision and ends the fight before the tap - no complains from Hardwood, who is just happy to have his arm attached to his body.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:40 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Americana). Khal Drogo!

Highjack has chosen The Outsider - A Perfect Circle as his entrance music. Remi Highjack told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Highjack lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Strashko has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Strashko and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.
Strashko throws a nice looking combination but Highjack bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.

Strashko has been working on his boxing with his coaches at Laboratorium in the buildup to the fight.

Strashko manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Highjack on his heels. He'll look to pass Highjack's guard now, I'm sure.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Highjack enables Strashko to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Highjack manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.
Highjack is pulling down on Strashko's head. It's preventing any offense from Strashko, at least for the moment.

Strashko slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.

Highjack feints a jab and as Strashko dips his head, Highjack unleashes a brutal head kick that catches Strashko right on the jaw! Timbeeer! Strashko falls backwards in slow motion, only propped up by the cage! Highjack smiles a psychotic smile as he stares down his unconscious opponent. That is a scary man.
