I think Makabe might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Immigrant Song. Well, the cameraman is lingering on a pretty young lady for a bit too long there. Fistface shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Makabe pinned against the cage. Makabe gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Fistface rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Makabe moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Matt Fistface seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Makabe throws a good cross that connects.

It looks like Matt Fistface has been cut.
Makabe fakes the leg kick and cracks Fistface in the body.
Makabe throws a body punch but Fistface moves out of range.
Fistface lands with a head kick! That's gotta hurt.

It looks like Togi Makabe has been cut.
Makabe finds Fistface's off switch, with a big overhand right that connects perfectly to the side of the head! Fistface flops back against the cage, eyes gazing into the distance. Makabe lands an unnecessary shot before the referee has time to step in and end the fight. Brutal stuff but I'm sure Fistface will be OK.
