Kuklin throws a right hand that Ellison Jr ducks under and follows up with a left that Ellison Jr also avoids with ease.
Kuklin jabs. That one connects to the head of his opponent.
Ellison Jr tries to close the distance and clinch up against the ropes but Kuklin paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Kuklin avoids the clinch attempt nicely.

Ellison Jr shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Ellison Jr showed some decent athleticism there.
The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.

Volkov takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.
Penn swats away the attempt to clinch by Volkov.
Volkov has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.
Penn fails to land with a series of punches.
Volkov unleashes a big counter combination but Penn bobs and weaves and avoids any damage.
Volkov misses with a few strikes there.
Penn throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Volkov stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
Penn lands with a cross to side of his opponent's head.
Penn lands a nice looking body kick.
Volkov throws a right and a left that Penn avoids nicely.
A quick step to the side and Penn tries to counter with a shot to the body but it doesn't connect.
Penn's jab looks to have found its range, popping Volkov under the eye.
The fight stays on the outside here - Volkov looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Volkov moves in looking to clinch but Penn pushes him off.
Penn lands with an uppercut that bounces Volkov off the ropes and back into range.

Penn tests Volkov's chin there with a solid looking shot.
Penn's corner calls for a 1-2. Penn obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range.
Penn lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Volkov circles away quickly and effectively.
Penn will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Volkov lets it all go there with a big combo counter but none of the punches connected.
A shot to the liver by Penn. Beautiful body shot.
Penn lunges at Volkov with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Volkov's hand.
Volkov tries to clinch but Penn moves away
and Penn makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.
Volkov doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.
Volkov takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.
Penn throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

It looks like Viktor Volkov has been cut.
Penn looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
Penn lands a lovely overhand right.
Penn moving in and out of range nicely, whilst landing the scoring shot.

and Penn scores with a counter punch that sends Volkov to the canvas! Penn smells blood - he's punishing Volkov with more strikes and the ref has stopped it! Volkov has no idea where he is - he's tackled the ref... oh dear, poor guy, the crowd is in hysterics!

After the fight, Jake Penn was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.
